main.jpgIn 2391, the USS Fenrir set out with a new Captain and crew. Their mission? To seek out new alliances and become a beacon for the Federation's ideals across the galaxy. The valiant Norway-class vessel must face down the untold dangers of space while upholding the hopes and dreams of the United Federation of Planets; people of every creed working together for a safer, brighter and more inclusive future.

With such a bold mission, it will never be plain sailing. Challenges will arise, old enemies will resurface and in every union there are people willing to put ambition over principle.

It's a brave new world out there; who will be daring enough to carry the banner of Starfleet?

Hello!

I wanted to let you know some great news from the Theta Fleet awards. We've been awarded an Award of Merit for March, but even more amazingly we've also been awarded Sim of the Quarter!

I cannot tell you how lucky I feel to have such a great bunch of writers and all round amazing people on this sim. We set this sim up as a safe space where people could be comfortable playing in one of our favourite sandboxes, without the stress and anxiety that can sometimes come with simming...but we weren't sure if anyone would join us.…

Mission: Prologue: To Boldly Go
Posted on Tue Feb 24th, 2026 @ 2:52pm by Civilian Jairic ch'Shaorhs & Civilian Laeon Wylde

ON:

Having been told that the Valhalla bar was out of bounds for someone 'his age', Laeon had found himself heading to the regular lounge instead. With everyone busy settling into a new ship and routine...and school not having started yet...he'd found himself at something of a loose end. The youth sighed as he carried a green drink to a seat by the window; at least he'd get a decent view with everyone being so busy.

It didn't matter what species, or gender, or, for that matter, relationship, a parent was a parent. They usually meant well. Usually, but they…

"OK, the warp core is online, but it is low power. The Captain is going to order the power umbilical cut soon. Do we switch the power generation around gradually, then cut the umbilical, or just set it to full straight away?" Amari asked as she stood by the ship's heart

"We did both in the tests," Hel said as she looked at Amari with a small smile. "Chief said it was your call how you wanted to handle it, so...what do you think?"

"The core should be brought to full power just before…

= Below Decks - Security Office =

Lieutenant Aria Rice let out a breath as she shifted in her seat, looking over at the security team that were below decks. With the Chief on the bridge, this was briefly Aria's domain. She gave a small smile, shaking her head. "I wish we could get away with stationing people all over the ship for the chance to stretch our legs, but I suppose we get to sit here and enjoy the ride instead," she said, to make conversation in the silence.

"After searching the ship stem to stern and top to…

= Below Decks - Stellar Cartography =

Mateo stood near the primary console in Stellar Cartography, arms loosely crossed as the ship’s holographic dome shimmered above. Stars wheeled slowly across the massive curved display—mapped projections of what lay ahead, set to update the moment Fenrir cleared Utopia Planitia. It wasn’t real yet, not exactly, but it was close enough to feel like prophecy. The projection painted his skin in ghost-light, cool white and spectral blue dancing faintly along the inked lines of his forearms, the subtle curve of his jaw. His uniform—sleek, tailored, distinctly non-regulation—hugged his frame in clean lines…

ON:

= Bridge =

A new kind of energy had taken hold of the bridge. It was almost palpable as the Captain made her way out of the turbolift and down to the centre chair. A vibrant hubbub had broken out as crew came and went, preparing for the launch. The last minute gremlins were being chased out of the machines...the 'i's were being dotted, the 't's crossed...and a triple check was in process to ensure that everyone and everything was present and accounted for.

Captain Scarlet Blake took a moment to look across the bridge, watching her new crew…

So... that happened.

Wasn’t planning to spend half my shift accidentally getting psychoanalyzed by a crate delivery. One minute I’m minding my own business, trying to clear some samples, and the next thing I know, some civilian’s walking through the lab door like he owns the air around him. Not in a bad way. Just... different. I noticed him at Valhalla the other night, too. Tried not to. Failed spectacularly.

It’s weird. I’m used to people fading into the background. Me fading into the background. Noise. Static. Easy to…

» When the universe...

Posted on Thu Apr 24th, 2025 @ 3:04pm by Petty Officer 2nd Class Khlynt Medan

When the universe felt young and the days were endless…

We always start stories with that, to make sure the audience knows they are stories. Fables or parables, myths or legends, rooted in history or in fiction. We open with that to show that this isn’t real, that there is comfort to be found no matter how dark something is.

So.

When the universe felt young and the days were endless, there lived a King and Queen on a planet of peace. They were not the only King and Queen, for there were many, and their subjects lived in harmony…

So…

That didn’t go as planned. Not that I had a plan. I rarely do when it comes to people. I just have protocols—internal ones. The kind that aren’t written down, but I follow them like scripture anyway. Don’t initiate. Don’t overstay. Don’t overshare. Keep the volume and tone measured. Smile when appropriate, but not too much or it looks rehearsed.

Tonight, I followed none of those.

And still, it somehow… worked?

There was Aria. And Gabriel. And I laughed. Actually laughed. It startled me—felt foreign at first, like…

Today was supposed to be routine. An ordinary shuttle run, nothing more than procedural necessity—one more thing to cross off the endless mental checklist I've maintained since reporting aboard the Fenrir. Simple retrieval, cargo checks, authorizations, and security protocols. Precise, predictable, exactly as intended. That’s how I usually prefer things—neat, structured, and without surprises.

And yet, today wasn't what I expected. It caught me off guard, and I’m still processing why. Usually, I avoid getting too invested in people or situations that aren't directly tied to my research. It's…

Encrypted. Private. Don’t play this back in public, I swear.

I had a long back-and-forth with Lieutenant ch’Shaorhs tonight. Ren.

It started with a holodeck idea. First Contact simulation. Open-ended parameters, low threat profile. Pretty standard—on paper. Except… it wasn’t.

The scenario was fine. Interesting, even. But somewhere between the part where he said “mermaids or mermen” and the part where I may or may not have made a joke about my Speedo collection, things... shifted.

I don’t even own a Speedo. I was just trying to be funny.…
