| Physical Description | Kabon is not a half-bad-looking Trill, all things considered, when you give him a once-over. The scientist is in his late twenties, with thick, wavy dark brown hair swept back from his face, a neatly trimmed beard that is starting to show streaks of gray in it, a bit early for his age. The Trill's light olive complexion is marked by the distinctive line of brown spots associated with his species that travel from his neck on down, disappearing under his clothing. As for his eyes, there is a faint glow beneath their light brown hue, caused by the fact that they are actually ocular implants due to a genetic defect from birth. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Speak softly but carry a big stick. That is a philosophy that applies to Kabon; however, many would be surprised to know that, in his mind, carrying a big stick simply means being an educated and more devoted leader when called for. Despite his upbringing, he sees the realm of knowledge as the ultimate weapon. What would surprise many, however, is that despite this philosophy, Kabon is just as comfortable wielding a phaser in the trenches as he is studying a new culture or programming new scientific holodisplays for a recently discovered star system. Forthright, opinionated, pragmatic, and focused, Kabon is driven by a need for efficiency in pursuit of proficiency and is quietly intolerant of people who seek to waste his time. |
|
| Strengths & Weaknesses | + Strong work ethic, efficient and methodical whilst maintaining a distinct flair for innovation + Focused, pragmatic and determined, extremely reliable under pressure + Strong moral compass - Finds it very hard to compromise - Prone to intolerance and frustration with those who under-perform |
|
| Ambitions | Kabon wishes to one day command a vessel of his own and explore the cosmos deep where the Federation has yet to go, or perhaps teach at the Academy on an academic level. In the meantime, he has also started considering whether or not he will one day want to start a family. | |
| Hobbies & Interests | Hydroponics and general gardening. Kabon is in the process of trying to start a garden in the arboretum. An avid student of all the sciences. Kabon is eager to read any scientific journal or periodical he can get his hands on. He has also published a few research papers surrounding stellar nursery formations and the possible sentience of cosmozoan life. Kabon is also a skilled marksman and enjoys visiting the practice range, keeping his skills with a phaser sharp despite the fact he is normally seen wielding a tricorder on away missions. |

| Background | Kabon is the oldest child (by two minutes) in the Praers family, brother to Jedree. Raised on Trill, his parents were both academics, one working for the government and the other a university researcher. While he was still young, it was identified that Kabon suffered from a rare genetic disease and lost his eyesight before he was 2 years old. By the time he was five, he was fitted with a VISOR so that he could see properly. Despite his perceived disability, Kabon was very competitive growing up and had a fascination with space and, more importantly, the vessels that flew through it. Both of his parents raised him and his sister in preparation for the Joining, his father often preaching at length about what an honor it is and why there was no more noble achievement amongst their people than to be joined. Being joined was not in the cards for Kabon, however, as he made it clearly known by the time of his secondary school studies that he wanted to join Starfleet. His parents both accepted his ambitions and supported him, while his twin sister chose to study to become a pediatric physician. In the year 2378, Kabon passed his Starfleet entrance exam and was sent off to the Academy located in San Francisco, Earth. During his time in the Academy, the Trill cadet was known for being competitive and reckless in his personal time. And by that, it was noted in his medical chart that he suffered from multiple broken or dislocated bones during hiking and kayaking adventures that he partook in. Of important note, however, is that before his graduation, he opted to have surgery and traded in his VISIOR for ocular implants. Kabon graduated in the top twenty percent of his class in the year 2382 after having spent his senior year aboard the USS Eisenberg, a cadet training vessel. |
